After huge struggles for the last year with leaking carbs, a wrist pin clip, bent push rod tubes, rockers that weren't shimmed tight enough, end play that was out of tolerance, metal shavings in the combustion chambers and oil sump... and the list goes on, I think I may have finally gotten my motor dialed. I got it installed last night and buttoned up tonight. It was too late to seat the rings, so I cranked it over to get oil pressure, ran the fuel pump to fill the float bowls and fired it up for 2 seconds. Tomorrow will be the real test.
